Reviews
The menu, atmosphere and overall experience were all excellent! We loved the locally-focused menu, and attention to details with every item on the menu. The house-made pickles brought to the table were a fun and delicious touch! Arthur, the owner, is experienced, knowledgeable about his craft, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a thoroughly good experience. We really loved the mushroom ketchup that went with the fingerling potatoes. The vegan menu options were fantastic as well. The atmosphere was quaint and well decorated. The two window seats were perfect! I would highly recommend a visit to DC Kitchen, more than once!
Farm to table delicious food in north Capitol Hill area. Menu changes weekly according to farm produce available and in season. All grilled items done to perfection and perfectly seasoned. Everyone loved the S'mores Pot Du Creme and everyone wanted "their own", however the waiter recommended this desert for sharing ..after trying to eat the whole thing including all the fabulous toasted homemade vanilla bean marshmallows, I wished I heeded the waiters advice..huge sugar surge...so try but please share this marvelous desert!
The quality and the flavor of the food was great! They also had really good iced tea. The portion size is fine though it feels overpriced, even for a dc restaurant. It’s worth visiting at least once.
Heads up that the gratuity is included in the bill even if it’s not entirely clear when you are paying. We had to double check when looking it up.
Good atmosphere and good food. Something different in the neighborhood. Pretty popular with the locals, so the place does fill up pretty quickly during dinner time. The appetizer ribs were good, a bit more ginger flavor than I would’ve liked, but nevertheless good. The pork chop entrée was tasty, the pork chop was a good size and perfectly cooked. A place I would recommend.
Visited during DC Vegan Restaurant Week and was surprised and happy to see the entire restaurant went vegan! Such a great way to highlight vegan food and make an impact. The food was delicious and I love that they source from local farms.
we had several dishes from the new menu, including craft drinks and dessert. Every bite was full of flavor. The unique combinations were just outstanding. We savored every bite. We enjoyed the personal attention of the staff and chef. I highly recommend this place--the entire experience was outstanding.
We LOVED DC Harvest’s menu for vegan week! Tons of great options. The BBQ carrots and grits were phenomenal, I really hope they add it to their regular menu. Dessert/drinks were so well curated. The space is beautiful too!
We recently had dinner and drinks at DC Harvest and all I can say is we had a wonderful experience. My wife has Celiac and there were plenty of gluten free options. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and even told us about some gluten free products that he uses in all his dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant for a truly amazing experience, not just another meal.
